Chiropractic and Creative Thinking

Creative Thinking following Chiropractic Adjustment

Chiropractic Journal of Australia

Issue 40

This study asked 10 subjects to write down as many uses for an object as possible during a ten minute period (Alternative Uses Test)

Then each subject was examined by a Chiropractor to see if there was a subluxation. A subluxation is a complex of functional and/or structural and/or pathological articular changes that compromises neural integrity that may influence organ system function and health. They were then given an adjustment.

Between 2-8 days later, the subjects were given another version of the Alternative Uses Test again.

The results showed that 6 out of 10 subjects experienced a post-adjustment improvement in their performance

7 of the subjects showed new directions in real-world creative tasks.

6 of the subjects showed renewed energy towards a creative project already planned

Dr. Loiuse Hockley.,BSc, a Wellington-Based Chiropractor, stated that these preliminary results need further verification by future studies (due to small sample size)
